Before applying for a GSM visa, you must assess whether you meet the eligibility criteria, such as age, English language proficiency, occupation, and work experience. As a first step, you must obtain a positive skills assessment from the relevant assessing authority for your nominated occupation.
Then you must submit an Expression of Interest (EOI), where you will provide all your details, including your skills, work experience, and language proficiency. If your EOI is selected by the Department of Home Affairs, you will receive an ITA to apply for the visa.

As a final step then you can lodge a visa application within 60 days of receiving the ITA, including all the necessary supporting documents.

As a part of the visa application process, you must undergo medical and character assessments to ensure that you meet the health and character requirements.

The Department of Home Affairs will make a decision on your visa application. If your application is successful, you will receive a visa grant notice.
